Das Zitat "Less is more" wird oft dem Architekten Ludwig Mies van der Rohe zugeschrieben. Auch bei der Architektur von Webseiten ist weniger oft mehr.

Less is more

The quotation "Less is more" is often contributed to the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This motto can also be applied to the "architecture" of websites.

Warum?

Ich mag keine Webseiten, bei denen man vor lauter Geflimmer von Animationen den Inhalt nicht findet (falls einer vorhanden ist). Richtig unangenehm sind Seiten die den Browser (manchmal auch das Betriebssystem) zum Absturz bringen.
Ich habe diese Seite erstellt weil ich befürchte, dass die die lang bekannte Weisheit, dass weniger oft mehr ist, etwas in Vergessenheit geraten ist (und ich hasse Meldungen wie java.lang.NullPointerException oder JavaScript error).

Ich möchte nur ein paar lange bekannte Dinge in Erinnerung rufen. Weil alles schon bekannt ist, habe nichts nocheinmal aufgeschrieben, sondern eine Linkliste zusammengestellt.

Why?

I don't like websites that are so crowded with animations and blinking stuff, that you can't find the content (provided there is any). Some pages can even crash your browser (sometimes the operating system as well).
I created this page, because I'm afraid that the long known lore that sometimes less is more has fallen into oblivion (and I hate messages like java.lang.NullPointerException or JavaScript error).

I only want to bear in remembrance some long known statements. As it has all been said before, I did not write it down once more but created a link list instead.
